Hi. I am Tricia, a university student from the Philippines.
I like to travel, read novels, eat, watch movies, listen to music and most especially to sleep.
I am currently taking up Area Studies which focuses in Asia and the Philippines.
I am lethargic and sentimental, but I also like adventures. But I can't swim, so yeah, even though my country is rich in water bodies and marine resources, I can't explore it.
I tried hiking, spelunking, among other activities. I tried to ride at the top of a local jeepney in a mountainous place. It was scary at first, but I werent alone.
I also have this fixation in the past, but I have a good reason to. I love history and anthropology.
I love coffee and chocolates. Actually I can have more than 5 cups of coffee.
I cant act, dance, sing, swim nor speak confidently in front. I hate making corporate/formal letters.
Requests
Don't be an a-hole. Thank you.
Don't randomly add me please.
I am a conversationist. I really put a great effort maintaining a conversation lively and interesting, and I hope you too can do that for me. :)
Language Exchange Requests
Well, I really want to learn these languages, but unfortunately, I don't have the leisure to do so. If you want to learn my language, feel free to ask.
Hobbies & Interests
Interests? Much like everyone else's is. Eating and sleeping are my favorites. I don't have hobbies actually, as I am not productive during my freetimes. I like reading, but given the academic load I have, reading became a pain in the ass.
I love movies that have a superb musical score like The Breakfast Club. I want to experience the emotions of the actors not only through their acting, but also through the deepness of the cinematic value of the film and the appropriateness of the music.
I tried volleyball and badminton before, but I did noy excel on those.
Favorite Music
Listening to music is a basic need. I listen to every genre that I found pleasing to my ears like some variations of rock, pop, acoustic, RnB, mellow, ballad, etc.
I have this inclination to the diversity of the instruments being played in a song. I also like nature-inspired songs that uses traditional gongs and bamboo-made instruments.
Favorite Movies
Like music, I watch every genre. I like periodic (or historical) movies, movies which are based to true stories, inspirational, action, comedy, romantic comedy, psychological, etc.
Periodic movies: The Pianist, Schidler's List, etc.
Inspirational: The Terminal, 3 Idiots, My Name Is Khan, The Pursuit of Happyness, etc.
Action: Saving Private Ryan, Red, Blood Diamond, Jackie Chan's movies, etc.
Comedy: Stepbrothers, 21 and Over, The Hangover, etc.
Rom-com: 13 Going On 30, He's Just Not That Into You, Think Like A Man, The Ugly Truth, etc.
Psychological: Shutter Island, Side Effects, Inception, etc.
Animated: Almost all animated films are my favorites! The Croods, Epic, etc.
The Breakfast Club is unique because of its musical score.
Favorite TV Shows
Oh, this will have an extensive list if ever I take my time to type my favorite TV shows. I am somewhat picky when it comes to TV shows. My preferred shows are documentary, public affairs shows, anime, gag, variety shows, asian dramas, etc.
Some series that I like:
The Walking Dead
Revenge
Sherlock
Awkward
etc etc etc
Favorite Books
I am picky with books. It has to stimulate my mind and emotions. I have read many books, but I can't remember much of them because they didn't tickle my senses.
Harry Potter series is close to my heart
Memoirs of a Geisha
Hunger Games
Bob Ong's
and many more.
I am excited to read novels. I want sembreak and Christmas to arrive. Well I have a lot of books now but it is about India, urban issues, social sciences methodologies, historiography, anthropology, etc.
I'll try John Green, Haruki Murakami, Chuck Palahniuk and Dan Brown.[
