At the age of 16 I strayed from the path while on a 5 day hike and was subsequently lost in the wilderness. I had to survive on my own for 4 months using only what I had brought with me to survive. I crafted a bow with my trusty knife and used woven plant fibres as string. Through much trial and error, raw determination and power of will, I managed to hunt the food I needed to stay alive. After I was rescued I never gave up on archery and have since won several state archery championships.
