Regarding bumblebees, I'm somewhat familiar with the native American fauna, as I identify bumblebees worldwide on a specialized website. The American fauna is quite complex, with too many similar species. But they are just as important to ecosystems as in other parts of the world.

Nice to see someone from Connecticut. I visited Connecticut in 2002 - that was my first visit to the USA ( I stayed in Brooklyn with a couple of my friends) And I also visited Hartford - specially to visit Mark Twain's museum. That trip was really unforgettable and I still have friends there.
