You'll get to know. I´m into languages and I'd like to learn many more, but only time will tell whether my dream comes true... apart from that, my life revolves around Legal Studies/International Relations in general and some other stuff. I'm pretty bad at coming up with such descriptions. Nonetheless, I reckon that everything's in the eye of the beholder. I don't want to study - I want to learn. Believe me, there's a huge gap between these two concepts. Be that as it may, I hope to meet some people with whom I could share ideas about the world. I had the fortune to live abroad in a few countries, hence my interests. :)
Requests
"Ask me no questions, I'll tell you no lies." ;] Just be nice and don't use too many obnoxious abbreviations. ;) Oh, writing more than "hi, how are you?" also helps to establish communication. ^^ I will do my best to comply with those rules as well.
Language Exchange Requests
I would like to make some headway with respect to Spanish, for pragmatic reasons as well. :) I like this language a lot - in fact, I had lived in Spain for 2 years. I have relatives Russian and so I can speak Russian decently, but my knowledge of it is mostly practical, that is to say - I can't teach it very well (but I can try, of course - should someone have such a request). I need some help from patient speakers of German as well, since my German is quite shaky. Thx from the mountain.:P
Hobbies & Interests
Quite a few. Music (got some musical education on the side), fishing, apiculture, gym, shooting range, books (especially dystopian literature, for instance "1984" or "We", but I'm not a picky reader - I try to read as often as it gets ;)), films (horrors, comedies and dramas), linguistics, philosophy, religions (especially Slavic neopaganism and Buddhism) and so on, and so forth...
Favorite Music
Avant-garde, progressive, jazz, rock, metal, blues, classical. Favourite bands? Heard hundreds of them, but I really love Overhead, some Dream Theater and Weather Report, I also like German heavy metal, especially old Helloween/Edguy. Besides, I really admire Chopin for his works.^^
Favorite Movies
So many , that I will only name a few : "Phantasm 1, 2" ; "Friday the 13th" ; "Picnic at the Hanging Rock"; "Johnny got his gun"; "One flew over the cuckoo's nest" ; "Requiem for a dream", also Tim Burton's movies.
Favorite TV Shows
Well... "Who wants to be a Millionaire?". In fact, there are some TV series I enjoy though, but I usually follow them online.
Favorite Books
"We" by Zamayatin, "Brave New World" ; "Ape and the Essence" by Huxley; "Fahrenheit 451" by Ray Bradbury ; "Lolita", "Invitation to a beheading" by Nabokov, but also King/Masterton/Barker. Apart from that, I'm into Russian, Hungarian and Czech literature in general, for instance Szerb, Bulhakov, Voynovich, Kundera, Čapek, Kulhánek... but also some 'light' novels, such as the ones written by Pratchett. :)
Favorite Quotes
"Muere lentamente quien no viaja, quien no lee, quien no escucha música, quien no halla encanto en sí mismo” Pablo Neruda
"Optimum medicamentum quies est."
"To co bylo nechává stopy nečekaný.
To co bylo nedá spát - chtěný i nevítaný.
To co bylo odchází, vrací se z nenadání.
To co bylo nezmizí. Máš to spočítaný..."
