I'm so much more than a description in a box... but i am an avid reader who loves to play the violin, read, learn new recipes and be online.  I am catholic... though i love things about the eastern catholic rites ans well as roman catholic... i have chickens and ducks and live out in the country... i love it, but can use a few pen friends too...
i'm the type of person who really doesn't enjoy one line messages but instead enjoy long letters on the site and talking about anything from current events to the latest novels.

If you are half dressed there is no reason to message me .. you will not get a reply and if you have no profile, please don't bother.

My requests are for intro emails that don't have one line.  At this point in time, one line messages, messages from people who don't  have modest dress, who start messages w/ hi dear, pretty, maam, etc, anything of the sort will be ignored.  Any messages from people without profiles will be deleted, as will any messages from people who think I want to be in a relationship, give money, be a mother for their children because their wife left them, died in an accident or just isnt around.  There's no sense in wasting my time or yours, go find someone else. 
I'm looking for friends only, no relationships.  Would love to make some email pals.  I'm catholic and would like to meet some orthodox christian friends, but of course Any others are welcome as well.

I miss speaking russian... i had prolly gotten to intermediate level but out of sight out of mind.  I have also tried to teach myself persian... but thats difficult on your own without someone local to at least help and no mic on the computer... I still want to though.

i've had a couple of years of spanish ... and i can read more than i can speak....

cooking, languages, writing, literature. - and all of those are from all parts of the world.  I'm also interested in current events and world affairs and history.   I also enjoy movies, of all types but i really like independent and foreign films of all types. I also  love to discuss religion... even if i don't agree w/ everything.. I still enjoy the discussion.

It varies by day.. I play the fiddle and so I enjoy different types of fiddle music, I used to play the classical violin and so I like a lot of classical. I also like 60-80s soft rock, a lot of international music and even some, but not a lot, of rap. 
i love the music by the killers, bob dylan, paul simon, jim brickman, the pogues, the chieftains,  john denver and modern christian songs as well as catholic hymns

princess bride, star wars, master and margarita, running w/ scissors, the soloist, inkheart, waking ned divine
favorite musicals - rent, annie, cats, phantom of the opera
.... I haven't seen as many foreign movies as i'd like but i love what i've seen of bollywood and i think its neat that the movies are longer than most american ones are these days.

any reality shows, like preachers daughters on lifetime has really caught my interest and I love hells kitchen .  I also like some comedies like big bang theory and dramas too.

too many to list, but anna karinina, crime and punishment, the princess bride, anything by ha jin or chekhov. i love fiction books from india or russia.  Anything that is well written and on various topics.  i have a kindle and so i read a lot on there ... and in that get some good deals on books i never would have picked up before...  my interests fan out from the mainstream to those hidden in dusty corners..
