It is a camelia. I grow many here in my garden of different colors. You should be able to grow them where you live if you can plant them in a simi-shady spot.

My dear friend, Your growth in the Christian way of life sounds wonderful. We too are very much devoted to the Sacred Heart. Some years back we received small packages from the Perpetual Help Center in New York (rosaries, crucifixes, holy cards, etc) but for a reason unknown they stopped sending us that. A pity, because we used to distribute that to lots of people to help increace the devotion. Please include us in your prayers. Thanks and best regards. Bro. George.
