Hi. Its nice to hear back from you and I am glad everything is ok with you. Actually when I visited we stayed just out of Jinja town itself (1 or 2 km). I can't remember the name of the hotel (it was a couple of years ago and I've travelled a lot since then) but it was on the banks of the Nile very close to a dam (sort of overlooking the dam). I stayed a couple of days and did a lot of the tourist stuff - white water rafting, seeing the source of the Nile etc. I didn't get to the brewery last time - maybe my next visit. I also spent time in Kampala and tried to arrange some gorilla treking but was unable (we did get to go chimpanzee treking though). I also visited Entebe and out to an island in Lake Victoria that is a chimp sanctuary (I can't remember its name). I like your country and often recommend it to other Australians for a vacation. i found Uganda more relaxed than some other African countries which made it a great stop between Kenya and Tanzania on my last trip. I will definitely get back there myself some day.
