Hey, I'm Ben!
I'm 26 years old and I was born in Oman to British parents, so I view both Oman and England as home in a way! I'm an ESL Teacher, which means I teach English as a Second Language, and I have taught in England, Germany, Austria and China (very briefly). I studied French and German, so I'm proficient in these languages, and I'm eager to master more. :)
Linguistics is a hobby of mine in general, though I'm also looking into branching out into other paths, such as Speech Language Therapy, which I'm considering doing for my Master's.
Besides language-related things, I have a big passion for music. I don't play any instruments but I'm trying to learn the guitar. Even though I'm right-handed, I'm learning it left-handed, because my brain can't make its mind up! I also love games, films and travelling is a huge interest of mine, and I'm trying to tick many countries on my list.
Overall I'm pretty chill! I'm fiercely left-wing and a communist/socialist, though as long as you respect people and have some common decency, we'll get along just fine.

Languages and linguistics play a big part in my interests, but I'm also very interested in other cultures too. Whether it's something food-related, history-related, tradition-related, music-related and so on, I'd love to hear about it and try it for myself if I ever visit your country!
