Hey, I love Taiwan! I lived in Taipei once. To answer your question, I try to simplify life partly by abandoning material excess, but also in my priorities. I genuinely believe that happiness is the only reason why you should do anything. By abandoning material possessions and activities that don't ultimately make me a happier person, I can also easier focus on matters that do.
