I have given up following the tragedy that keeps unfolding in Japan. It makes me too depressed to keep thinking about it. I guess I'm so lucky to have the option to just turn away from it while so many people have to live through it every day in Japan.
We are soon converting to digital TV here, too. I don't watch actual TV anyway so it doesn't worry me. I just watch my favourite TV series on DVD when the new seasons are released. Better than watching it over such a long period and having to suffer through the repetitive ads.

I'm very interested in geography and I like to learn about other cultures so I have known where Slovakia is for a long time now. Hopefully I will get to visit it and many other European countries one day. So far, I have only been to Italy and the Vatican in Europe.
I'm impressed that you know of Canberra. I think even some Australians don't know that it is our capital!

I wish that I could speak more than just English. I guess I am lucky that I do speak it fluently because it is such a universal language now.
I live in Eastern Australia. Luckily, I was not affected by the recent disaster. I live further south of that area.

I'm kind of addicted to this site. I find it amazing that we can talk with people from all over the globe so simply :)
