Couldn't pay attention during a lecture, so I went ahead to draw this. "Now what this is?" you might ask? Answer: some sort of weird shitty calligraphy

A part of wisdom is determining how much more effort does someone deserve from you. For someone that doesn't care, the more effort you put, the less they would care.

A funny example is: sending 10 texts to someone that doesn't care, they probably wouldn't appreciate it as much as sending 2 messages

Throughout studying economics, I always stumbled upon the "diamonds vs water" dilemma, which uses concepts of economics to state that even though water is virtually everywhere, it holds significant value compared to diamonds, which you really can't find on streets (unless its heavily guarded, and you'd get beaten up if you try to "take" it).

But the question I have is: how much would a wanderer in a dry desert value a carat of diamond (given he doesn't know the value of it)? How much would a sea of diamonds mean to him?

What I lacked the most at school: "why on earth am I learning this?" Not that I thought it was useless, rather "how and when am I going to use this?"

Take for example: "scale diagrams" in physics, what do I gain from knowing that the resultant force is 60° from the normal?
