Polish Film School (Polska Szkoła Filmowa) and other old, polish movies. There are so many underrated "gems", which are unknown to the rest of the world.
Also italian Neorealism, czechoslovakian movies, old japanese films like ones from A. Kurosawa, Masaki Kobayashi, Toshio Matsumoto (I'm not really into Anime though).
Contemporary- Jim Jarmusch, Wes Anderson, Wong Kar-Wai,
There's much more of course, but it's something special in movies made in 50s and 60s.
